''To Lucasta, Going to the Warres'' is a 1649 poem by Richard Lovelace. It was published in the collection ''Lucasta'' by Lovelace of that year. The initial poems were addressed to Lucasta, not clearly identified with any real-life woman, under the titles ''Going beyond the Seas'' and ''Going to the Warres'', on a chivalrous note. ==Text== Tell me not, sweet, I am unkind, That from the nunnery Of thy chaste breast and quiet mind To war and arms I fly. True, a new mistress now I chase, The first foe in the field; And with a stronger faith embrace, A sword, a horse, a shield. Yet this inconstancy is such As thou shalt adore; I could not love thee, dear, so much, Loved I not honor more. 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「To Lucasta, Going to the Warres」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
